Winston-Salem, NC – West & Stem Architects will officially transition its firm name and branding to Novus Architects, effective January 1, 2026. This change marks the successful integration of the two firms following their merger and reflects a unified identity moving forward.
Since joining Novus Architects, the West & Stem team has become fully integrated into the firm’s operations, culture, and project delivery across multiple markets. Operating as Novus Architects reinforces a shared commitment to collaboration, design excellence, and long-term growth, while maintaining a strong regional presence in Winston-Salem and throughout North Carolina.
P. Michael West, AIA, continues in his role as Executive Principal of Operations for Novus Architects, providing strategic leadership across the firm. James Stem, AIA, serves as Divisional Principal, overseeing the Winston-Salem office and regional business development efforts.

The Winston-Salem office, located at 5455 Bethania Road, will continue to serve as a hub for Novus Architects, supporting civic, municipal, healthcare, industrial, and commercial projects throughout North Carolina and the Southeast.
