"Smoother collaboration can improve everything.” That is how the talented women and men of the Novus Building Information Manager (BIM) team approach the topic of BIM. Each physical office has resident BIM liaisons who work to support their peers working in Revit. The strong internal support system allows our Revit users to…
Collaborate with Consultants: Our project files are 3D models built in concert with our consultants on Autodesk’s official cloud platform, so we see each other’s work during production. Sharing model space with consultants allows us to work out conflicts during design, rather than during construction.
Work Remotely: We're on the cloud, which makes it easier for us to share work between Novus offices or just to work in your PJs from home.
Have Consolidated Resources: Centralizing internal resources makes life easier for our own team members. It’s like Ikea, but for Revit elements.
Get Help Faster: The BIM team is made up of numerous high-level users across the offices, allowing user issues to be addressed quickly.
Have Focused Training: As a firm all-in with Revit, we can focus on improving the production process. When the BIM team is not helping users directly, we’re hosting monthly internal lunch-and-learns, creating guides for BIM topics, and working to improve our existing resource library. And if you happen to miss a Revit lunch, the videos are available online for streaming at your leisure.
Novus Architects was founded in 1992 by one architect working for one client. It didn’t take long to grow as the demand also grew for our creative process and commitment to exceptional customer service. Today, with offices in Atlanta, Asheville, Charleston, Charlotte, Jacksonville and St. Thomas USVI, Novus has a mission to create highly functional, beautiful spaces that are more than brick and mortar, or fixtures and furniture – spaces that foster human interaction, discovery and deep connection.
